From his foster family...

Max came to us two weeks ago - he is a handsome, lively fella, full of fun and longing to play with our Coco, who is a little too settled for all his youthful enthusiasm ! He has settled in well to the routine of the household, and is now fully house trained - we hope ! He loves his walks, He will make a super family pet.

Max is a very friendly fellow - and like any young dog he is full of life. He has settled in well with us and is now house trained. He loves meeting other dogs and is longing to play with them, though not all other dogs are quite so enthusiastic as he is for rough and tumble ! He loves the car and likes to see where he is going, if possible - on a long trip he settles down and sleeps. His recall is improving - with a little bribery !

He walks very well on a short lead, but on a longer lead is gets a bit excited. He is very agile, an extremely fast mover, and also a quick learner, so we think he would do wonderfully in 'agility' competitions, if trained.

From his foster family :D

Max is now with us over two months - he is a very friendly, affectionate, lively fellow, who loves his walks, meeting people and other dogs. At first we only let him off the lead in enclosed dog parks, and he learned to come back to us when called. But up on Killiney Hill, when we let him go free, he was so interested in and excited by the people and dogs he met, that for a while he would go off with anybody who had a dog, and forget that he was with us !! Now he comes back when called, if a little slow sometime - he just loves to play with other dogs. We have even bumped into some DID dogs on our walks !

Max has learned to sit on command, and is great at retrieving a ball when thrown for him. He loves our JRT Coco, though she is a little bit sedate for all the play he wants to share ! We think he would appreciate a doggy friend in his forever home, though I am sure he would be happy on his own too, as he loves people. He would probably be best suited to older children as he is so lively.

Max is still waiting for his forever home. He is very affectionate and lovable, and wants to be with one all the time. He is very lively, and although he not a large dog, he needs a lot of exercise to keep him happy.

He loves to play with other dogs, but is a bit too boisterous for our middle aged JRT. Max would be best with a younger dog as a companion who wants to to play. with him. We also think he would be happy as an only dog, as he loves people so much."
