Hi.
Just a few lines on the big fella. He's doing really well and is maintaining his ideal weight really now. Both Rusty and my kids (youngest is 14 so kids might be a stretch) have been re-educated regarding his feeding routine so it seems to have sunk in, fingers X'd.
He's the same as always, food is his favourite thing closely followed by his walks. Quite content to rest in-between his walks, was never one to play much in the house, only occasionally. He's a really good natured dog and we got really lucky/ spoilt the day we brought him home as he's been a joy to share our home with.

Hi. Just a quick word on the big guy. He had a further operation last December as a screw from one of his plates had come out and formed a big lump to the side of his knee. The operation went well and he's fully recovered. Unfortunately all these operations are catching up on him and he struggles with climbing, jumping etc. He takes painkillers as required but I tend to err on the side of caution with them.
He's still an overprotective, cuddly, loveable big guy who still enjoys life as much as he can.

Hi. Just a quick message to let everyone know Rusty's doing very well at the moment. In consultation with the vet we've shortened his walks but he now gets out 3 times most days. He really enjoys his walks and is excellent on the lead. His thing is a 30 min walk combined with a 40 min sniff. We're watching his weight too and hoping to have him as healthy as we can for a long time yet. Can't speak highly enough of just what a terrific personality the big guy has, he's so calm and laidback. Just wants everyone to give him cuddles and he's the happiest dog in the world.

Happy 10th Birthday to me. Today is a special birthday for me. After my operations when I was younger the vet said I probably wouldn't see my 10th birthday as I'd be in a lot of discomfort by then. But thanks to lots of exercise and meds to I'm doing fine. Decent quality food to maintain my weight and lots and lots of cuddles have helped too. So a very happy birthday to me, can't wait to see the next one.
