 Nellie looks like a very well bred Patterdale Terrier to me, grand little dogs, very keen.

:o Never turned up! Well, they don't deserve to have her, unless there was a very good reason for not collecting her. It would have been easy enough to pick up a telephone and let the home know and arrange another collection time. I don't think Nellie will be waiting long - Patterdales are fantastic dogs, but so are Jack Russells, German Shepherds and everything in between. Good luck Nellie.

:?: Did Nellie's potential family just evaporate into thin air? She is a cracking little dog, can't believe she has landed in the pound and even worse, is still there!

Just wondering................do they keep a record in the pound of the people who just "don't turn up" having been approved to take one of the poor doggies?

I hope they keep some sort of "blacklist"! :x

It must be so frustrating for the pound staff.

My last dog was a patterdale - they are beautiful little dogs, so clever & loving. Hope this girl finds a home soon :(

:| My usual question (sorry everyone, I know its boring but . .) what is Nellie like with other dogs? I am starting to look for a (small female) companion for my 4 year old Border Terrier although we still have our 2 old(ish) girls. Am in no great rush because I wouldn't want to upset our 'older ladies' but if a suitable dog popped up I would hate to miss the opportunity. I know Patterdales are fantastic little dogs and you don't really see many in dog pounds so was very surprised to see Nellie on the web site.
