Thanks Kathy :)
It's great to be able to celebrate Ben's 2nd year with us. He's been through so much and is still such a gentle loving boy. We are privaledged to have him as part of our family. This is how he spends his days now instead of being chained up

Ben lost his best friend in May this year. Our little Sparky died suddenly aged 15 after spending the morning playing in the park with Ben and Sam. When Ben came home with us in March 2015 he met Sparky and they hit it off almost immediately. Ben had not had any contact with dogs before that and Sparky began to show him what life as a much loved family member was like. They became inseparable for the next 3 years and were constant companions day and night. When Sparkys time came Ben did not cope very well initially without her and he became extremely depressed. Dogs really do mourn in the same way as humans. It has taken quite a few months but slowly he has come around and has become a lot closer now to his brother Sam who we adopted from DID in January. Hopefully they will have many happy years together playing on the beach or in the park and stopping off in a cafe for a break after their walk. Life is good again for our boys :)
