Jet and I had an adventure yesterday. The woman who runs the training club organised a meet-up at a country estate. Five people, seven dogs turned up. The trainer has 3 dogs. We did a bit of training then headed off for a group walk. Well, Jet had the best time ever. She was off-lead, tearing around, ran into a pond with all the others, was coming back when called but could only stay for a second because her doggy mates were more important. When we got back to the car she had to take a run at it to jump in. Home, fed and bed (until the blasted fireworks kicked off). Poor Nellie was the most terrified of all of them.

Exciting times. When we were on a track on the hill, way below us I saw a farmer on a quad bike with two Collies running behind it in a field of sheep. I was sooooo very excited, was jumping up an down and whining and yipping. I watched them leave the field and drive away - disappointed  . When we got off the hill and were walking back along the road to where the car was parked we heard the quad coming along the road towards us. We all got off the road and stood beside a tree and what happened next :o :o :o About 30 sheep came running along the road towards us, followed by the quad bike with two farmers and a Collie on it. Well,. . . . I was jumping up and down, pulling on the lead, yelping and barking. I would love to have shown them my sheep herding skills but wasn't allowed to do so :x On the way back to our car I was hoping the quad bike would come back but it didn't. I love going into the hills, its my very favourite place, I always get a few inches taller when I see the sheep and would so love to run off to catch up with them, but we have to put our dreams away  Got back home and was given some food so that made up for me not being allowed to go and play with the sheep. Hope all the 'Happy Endings' dogs are having a good day too :)

Today's walk, more sheep, more quads, more working Collies, more farmers. We are going to have to stop that walk at the moment or my little Jet brain is going to explode.

Wish the sun was shining today, it is freezing. Anyhoo, dog training this evening (in a hall thank goodness) so lots of treats and I will visit my favourite trainers at every opportunity during class. Usually grab my chance while the creature is getting more treats out of the container.
