Sam had a great sleep last night in the living room with his foster brother Bodie.
He was understandably a bit anxious yesterday, his first day with us but we can see a big difference in him today as he becomes familiar with his new surroundings. Even this morning he was much better on his lead than yesterday when he was wondering what was going on and where he was.
He is a very friendly boy, very affectionate and really gentle. He is getting on well with our 2 as they get to know each other.
He would make a great pet and companion for anyone. He would be low maintenance and I would imagine once he has a couple of walks a day, his food, a friendly human or 2 and a nice warm home That he will be a very happy fella. We will update as he settles further although he seems quite settled already.
Sam is here with a nylon bone he likes but not as much as his tennis ball. He is also happy around our 2

Some pictures of Sam out the back garden in the spring sun. He brought his tennis ball of course. Also he has taken to the bed we got for his brother Bodie when we got him nearly 3 years ago. Bodie doesn't mind at all as he doesn't use his own bed much.
Sam was very good on the lead second day but I think that's because he was exhausted. He was pulling then for the next few walks but he is starting to get better as he gets used to everything.
On Sunday and Monday night there was a little cry as we went off to bed but them he just went off to sleep no problem and last night he was settled in Bodie's bed before we went to bed. Gave him a little rub and went to bed and he was fine and happy where he was

A busy 24 hours for Sam, he has been to the vets for a check up and has been given a clean bill of health. He is in very good shape just need lst to lose a few pounds but he will be getting plenty of exercise especially in this lovely weather. He was very good in the car and he even supervised the cutting of the grass in our garden

Sam is doing very well and loves his nice long walks. When I bring him we run some of the time and it's no bother to him at all.
He has joined our 2 in thinking one of life's great treats is to sniff the food shopping bags fresh in from the car.
He has also taken to relaxing on the sofa every now and then

Sam is doing great. He loves all dogs and humans. There is an enclosed park beside us and after a few weeks we were able to let him off the lead. His recall is great when it's just our dogs there but he cant help running over to say hello to everyone else. He is coming back now though once he has explained pleasantries. A very clever little fella who loves his walks and exercise and has really settled in here

Sam is really doing great. Great recall in the park and he loves chasing the tennis ball. Sam has his own version of chase/fetch. He holds one tennis ball in his mouth which he holds on to for dear life. A second ball is kicked or thrown and he chases after that and drops his ball and picks up the second one for a couple of seconds then switches back to the first ball and he would do that all day. Here is Sam getting distracted from watching football by Clodagh eating some pizza. He then goes over to his foster brother and sister to see if there is any going spare
